The Ranald Hotel

I originally booked for only 1 night but because of weather conditions we were unable to take the ferry to our destination. Hotel gave us the same room for another 2 nights at a better rate. Staff could not have been more helpful. Taking our luggage upstairs for us as there is no lift. The hotel was in a quiet area but was only a short distance to train and ferry terminus. Also very convenient for shops and restaurants. I would book there again and recommend to others. Breakfast was good value for £10 each.

Very clean,modern room layout.Nice and quiet location but still central to town. Room had everything you need for a short stay, plenty of space. Staff were most polite and cheery, the breakfast options were refreshingly different- food was fresh and cooked perfectly. Great way to start the day! Everyone was very helpful and polite, definitely somewhere I will return to when I'm next in the area. Highly recommended

Lovely boutique hotel, well priced. Spotlessly clean. Very efficient and helpful staff. Good location, just a street back from the seafront. Nice breakfast ... not huge but perfect serving. Lovely personal service.

Room was clean, shower had hot water and the bed was comfy, pretty much all you need from a hotel. The lady in reception was there when we checked in and back again in the morning for breakfast, she was like a one-man band, very helpful and cooked a delicious breakfast. Best of all she did it all politely and with a big smile on her face.
